LSYGLC Concussion Management Policy
Concussion and head injury are a serious concern in youth sports and the Lampeter-Strasburg Youth Girls Lacrosse Club takes the risk of concussion and head injury earnestly. All LSYGLC coaches are instructed to remove players from activity (practices or games) immediately when any concussion signs or symptoms are suspected. We ask that parents cooperate in ensuring that medical professionals are consulted whenever a concussion is suspected. In following protocol for any documented concussion, written clearance is required from the athlete's personal medical professional prior to return to play. We strongly believe that no youth sports endeavor is worth risking the long-term cognitive development of young athletes
